I love it; the smells, the feelings. I just feel happier in the summer. Everything looks better, everything feels better, everything tastes better.
Everything is better in the summer, it brings hope and beauty and smiles.
My grandmother sent me the most wonderful email:
Not really gardening weather but had a wander around today just to see what damage the frost and snow had done. Dear little snowdrops pushing through the ground, amazing flowers, so delicate, can see the white bells of the flowers. Bluebells, the leaves are showing, although they won't flower till late April early May. Catkins dangling from the branches of the hazel bushes. The yellow jasmine around the door into the little Morris garage looked as if the buds got frosted, but I picked some stems to bring indoors to put on the kitchen table and they have burst into flower :-) . Its a bit too early to think that spring has arrived, we could still get more snow yet, but its a promise of things to come, and something nice to look forward to.Sure winter has its perks, and can be magical and cozy. But I've had enough of it now, thanks!
